Following a disaster loss, many home and business owners find themselves in a completely foreign situation. Coping with the stressful circumstances and filing an insurance claim can be an emotional, overwhelming, and confusing process and policy holders often call upon their insurance agent or an attorney for assistance. The role of an insurance agent is to report the loss to the insurance company who, in turn, assigns an adjuster to the claim. These adjusters will most likely try to limit the financial liability of the insurance company. Policy holders sometimes seek the legal advice of an attorney in order to protect their interests. While these professionals are informed and educated in their individual areas of expertise, it is probable that they do not possess exclusive knowledge as claims processing advocates. Public insurance adjusters are licensed, educated, and experienced claims processing advocates who offer assistance and value to a property owner following a loss. A qualified public adjuster is extensively trained in the claims process as well as insurance policies and their conditions and guide policy holders through the claims procedure with strength and surety. Public adjusters work solely to protect the best interests of their clients. There are many benefits in utilizing public insurance adjusters to protect your valued property following a loss:

I did not know that public adjusters were hired to make sure that insurance companies give out the correct amount of money for different disasters for their clients. I think that if my house or vehicle was damaged it would be very important to make sure that you have an adjuster on your side to check the work of the insurance company. That way you would be able to get the exact worth of the items that were lost and damaged.

I like the benefit pointed out, that they have a lot of knowledge of the laws and policies pertaining to the damage that has been done. A business near my home recently burnt down. I'm sure they sought help from an public adjuster in order to get reimbursed for what was lost.

I'd heard that public adjusters could be really helpful and I wanted to know exactly what they did. You wrote that public adjusters work solely to protect the interests of their clients and make sure you get the best insurance claim possible. Especially with the difference a good insurance claim can make financially, having that undying support could really make that happen.

Public adjusters are licensed by the state of Texas to negotiate out the settlement of claims on the insured’s behalf. Public adjusters are prohibited by law from operating outside that capacity in relation of a claim in which they are representing a claimant. The only parties who truly have the insured’s best interest at heart are simultaneously the only parties that can negotiate out a settlement of a claim; The insured, a public adjuster representing the insured, or an attorney representing the insured. So, yes our goal is to work to protect the interests of our client. We work to get the insured the best claim settlement possible pursuing every avenue available before resorting to litigation.

It's great that public adjusters can help policy holders get more money after accidents. My aunt's home burnt down part way, so she may be interested in learning more about public adjusters. Do you have any tips for choosing a great public adjuster, should she decide she needs one?

I really like how you explained that adjusters are experienced in claims where someone lost property. This would be really helpful for my Aunt Betsy who just lost some items in a natural disaster. It would be really helpful to get a professional to help her out with the process that she has to go through.

It's interesting that you mention that a public adjuster can help you determine the value of your property in the event that your house gets destroyed. My sister's home burned down last week, so I'm considering finding a public claims adjuster to help her. I'm going to search for a reputable public adjuster in the area that she can use.

Thanks for explaining how an attorney can help protect their interests when they hold a policy to make sure that they are more informed. My dad has been having a lot of problems because some parts of his kitchen burnt down, and he wants some compensation. He would really like to get some help from a professional in order to make sure that it can be repaired correctly.

I appreciated it when you shared that your claims process can get through if you hire a qualified public adjuster to help with your situation. My neighbor just mentioned the other day that she is going through a tough time since her house was on fire a few days ago when her family went for a vacation during the school holiday. I will suggest to her hiring a reliable public adjuster who can help with the claims process with the insurance company.
